Fundamental vs Technical Analysis in Forex
Two different lenses, and why the strongest traders use both
What Fundamental Analysis Looks At
Fundamental analysis studies the economic and political forces that drive currency value over time — interest rate decisions, inflation data, employment reports, GDP growth, and geopolitical events. It answers the question: why should this currency be worth more or less over the coming weeks and months?
What Technical Analysis Looks At
Technical analysis studies price action itself — chart patterns, support and resistance, moving averages, and momentum indicators. It answers a different question: where is price likely to react, and when, based on how the market has behaved historically at similar levels?
Why Combining Both Works Better
Fundamentals set the directional backdrop; technicals provide the timing and precision for entries and exits. A trader who ignores fundamentals can be blindsided by a news-driven move that overrides clean technical structure. A trader who ignores technicals often enters too early or too late relative to a fundamentally sound thesis. Systems like SDYKA combine an HTF fundamental-aware bias with technical EMA and ADX confirmation for exactly this reason.
The Asur Labs Approach: Every SDYKA signal starts with macro bias and is only confirmed once the technical setup aligns — neither lens is used alone.
